Who is Giesser

At GIESSER, we have internalized sustainability at all levels as a basic entrepreneurial virtue in the sense of future-oriented business. Thus, we rely on recycling in manufacturing, for example of waste heat and water. “We have the advantage of processing only three materials: Steel, plastic and wood,” says Hans-Joachim Giesser, explaining the resource-saving production processes. The steel waste in production is completely recycled. Among other things, they go into the smelter to be reused elsewhere.

“We only make knives that we would prefer to keep ourselves.” This is the conviction on which the GIESSER company was founded two centuries ago and on which it is still built, emphasizes Hans-Joachim Giesser. As representatives of the sixth generation, he and his brother Hermann are leading the tradition-conscious knife factory into the future. “We still run a true family business that has grown slowly and healthily from a passion for precise craftsmanship. Together with our 130 employees, we produce knives that are honest, solid and durable working tools.”
